Charlene (Barnett) Smith - 2010

After graduation, I worked in Kansas City at a finance company for a few years.

I moved back to Mountain Grove and raised my family. We owned a bakery and cafe. In 1977, my husband, Jerry, passed away.

The next years I worked at Brown Shoe Co., H.D. Lee Co., and Cap Factory until they closed.

I have 3 children - Sandra Hawkins. She and her husband are owners of Hawkins Home & Lawn. Marty Stigall manages the Randel Golf Course. Sheila McAlexander lives in Kansas and works for K.U. Medical Hospital.

I have 10 Grandchildren - 9 boys and 1 girl.

I enjoy making quilts and cooking homemade treats for my grandchildren.
