Fifth Mountain Grove Drum & Bugle Corps Reunion Held
July 2nd,
fifty three members and their guests attended the annual Mountain Grove
Drum Corps Reunion which was held at the former Denney home, now
owned by Dick and Doris Young. Dick is a former resident of Mountain
Grove, presently living in Boston Massachusetts. Dick's sister,
Janet Young Miranda from Dallas and Rita Davis Sax were the hostesses
of the affair.
After a short welcome to all, a potluck dinner was served.
Members then enjoyed visiting old friends and everyone got to tour the
wonderful old house. There were members present spanning the
years of 1937-1968. Former music teacher,Evelyn Byrd Struble
was in attendance this year.
