Barbara Jo (Finley) McCaslin - 2010

After graduation, I attended Drury College and received my degree in education. I married Jerry Glor and began my teaching career. We lived in Alaska for 6 years and while there I obtained my Masters degree in administration. In 1977, we moved back to Missouri and I was principal at Hermitage school for the next 27 years. I divorced, then remarried and went back to school and obtained my specialist degree. My husband passed away in 2003. I retired from public education in 2005 and began work the next day for the Missouri Department of Education as supervisor for instructional improvement and serve the schools in eighteen counties.

I live in Pittsburg on Pomme De Terre Lake and enjoy sitting on the deck and watching the boats go by.

My two sons live in Florida (Tampa and Lakeland) which is a great place to visit in the winter. One son is married and I have two granddaughters (ages 8 & 4) which keep me on my toes. Everyone should have the experience of grandchildren.

I have many fond memories of MGHS and all the wonderful people who had a part in shaping my life.

Past Update

Barbara Jo and Bob McCaslin

I am still in Education and am starting my 23rd year as principal at Hermitage school. I don't know when I'll retire (although I could.) I really enjoy the kids and my job. My husband is retired but works part time on the school computers.

We have 4 children between us and had our 1st grandchild this spring. The Children are scattered - Florida, Michigan, Colorado and Missouri - so we do a lot of traveling.

I enjoy collecting antiques, stamps and rocks.

We live on the lake but spend most of our time sitting on the deck watching the boats go by.
