John (J. A.) Reece - 2010

After graduating from MGHS, I attended Southwest Baptist College. I graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University.
I taught music in the public schools of Kansas City, St. Louis County, and Montgomery County, Maryland.
I continued graduate studies at Missouri University, Southern Illinois University, American University and the University of Oregon completing a Masters of Leisure Study.
While living in the Washington, DC. area, I landed a position with the Department of Defense. My first assignment was Director of Entertainment with the U.S. Army in Tokyo, Japan. I later expanded my career with Special Services to include supervision of all recreation activities, military clubs, housing and dining facilities. We kept our men and women in uniform happy and healthy at military bases around the world. In addition to Japan, I had the wonderful opportunity of serving in South Korea, Hawaii, Virginia, New Mexico and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. My final assignment was with the U.S. Air Force at the top of the world--Thule Air Base Greenland.
I retired after 30 terrific years of government service and now reside in Palm Springs, Ca.
I really look forward to reminiscing with old friends and enjoying the familiar surroundings of Mtn. Grove.
