Richard Perterson - 2010

After graduation, I moved to Kansas City and worked at Stuart Hall Stationary Co. for 3 years.
In 1962, I married my high school sweetheart, Nina Nichols, from Cabool. We lived in Kansas City until 1963.
We moved back to Mtn. Grove and went into partnership with my brother, Gene, and started Peterson Ready Mix. In 1974, I sold my part of the Ready Mix to my nephew, Gary Peterson, and did farming and trucking the next six years.
In 1980 I began working for Hiland Dairy and eventually moved to Springfield and later to Nixa. I retired in 2005.
After retiring, we moved back to Mtn. Grove. where we now live.
We have three children---2 boys in Springfield/Nixa area and 1 daughter in Mtn. Grove. We have 7 wonderful grandchildren ranging in age from 12 to 23 years.
I like to travel, camp, read and have renewed old friendships since moving back to Mtn. Grove.
